Fishing Holiday

Had a nice few days fishing with Ben and his gang from France.  We done a bit of pike fishing and also trout fishing here on our lovely lakes in Boyle Co. Roscommon.  The first day the guys decided to do some pike fishing.  Conditions were hard with strong winds and a lot heavy rain but they stuck it well and managed to land a few fish with two nice beauties.

Second day out fishing the guys decided they wanted to try for some trout.  We spent the day casting and trolling for trout on a great lake in Sligo.  They landed 11 trout ranging in size from 25cm up to 32cm.  Not very big but it was great sport on light tackle.  On the last day we hit for the Shannon river for pike and some perch.  We had lots of small perch and pike but not many big ones.
